Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts John Wolf Child 1945 — 2024 John Wolf Child (78) of Tisbury, MA died on May 13, 2024 at Cape Cod Hospital after a long illness. Born Allentown PA, he was the son of John B. Child and Henrietta (Hess) Child formerly of Oak Bluffs, MA. John was a carpenter and a master plumber. He retired from the Town of Tisbury. He was active in the First Baptist Church of Vineyard Haven. Born in St. Louis, Missouri in1942, the son of Proctor and Katherine Thomas, George graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1964 and from the University of Virginia Law School in 1967. He practiced law in St. Louis, starting at Armstrong Teasdale in 1967 and retired from Anheuser-Busch in 2003.
