Hello!
Big sister is absolutely enamored with her little brother. Her love language is also physical touch so she always wants hugs and kisses. That said she wants to be all up on the baby anytime he is near. Having a newborn attached to my nipple and a 3 year old touching the rest of my body is just not a fun experience for me. How are ya'll doing with your toddler/pre schoolers?

I also have a 3 year old girl who is obsessed with her baby sis. We are 5 weeks in now and it has gotten a lot better.
I have been honest with her and tell her when I need some space. I also try to give extra hugs/cuddles when the baby is down, and that seems to be helping. My husband has also been good about distracting her when he knows I am getting touched out

I feel this! I have a 16 month old that old and an almost 1 month old and I’m constantly touched out!! I feel like I’ve got a long way to go before I get to enjoy personal space Hang in there!!

My almost 3 year old is a bull in a china shop - he doesn’t know his own strength and throws his body all over his baby sister. I feel so bad reprimanding him for it because he is just trying to be close to her and has no bodily awareness, but he always seems to be hurting her inadvertently and it’s hard to figure out how to reel him in. We’re working on it though!

Samers here! My 3 year old girl is obsessed with baby and wants to be snuggling him even while I’m nursing. Realizing how much I want my space while feeding!! Trying to tell her to leave and that I need space but she doesn’t always cooperate very well. I thought the baby novelty would have worn off by now but almost 4 weeks in she’s still very excited and obsessed (which is indeed very cute). But yeah I feel I need to come up with kind of strategy with her!

I give my son play doh and play doh toys to make stuff at the table when I want some time, there’s a bit of mess when I get back to him but I don’t care it’s worth it.

Yes! My 4 year old daughter is consistently on my space while nursing and holding baby, she wants to pet her and kiss her. Bring her toys or showing her things then she gets upset because she’s sleeping
I got her new activity books and crafts for when I’m nursing or holding crying baby. My husband left for 2 hours and took one out. It kept her entertained for an hour and when I put baby down I joined her so she won’t feel left out.
