What is the fastest way to level up alchemy in Ffxiv? ›

The quickest way to level up is through levequests. Levequests are repeatable crafting missions that grant significant experience points. Visit the Levemete NPC in Ul'dah, Gridania, or Limsa Lominsa to pick up levequests tailored to your current level.

To become an alchemist, find and join the Alchemists' Guild at the Steps of Thal in Ul'dah (X:8.9 Y:13.6). (After entering a guild, you must equip the tool of the class you want in order to change your class.)

Giant's Toes and Wheat are the unlikely keys to Alchemy leveling. Combining these two easily-obtainable ingredients yields one of the highest value potions and is quite possibly the quickest and easiest way to level up your Alchemy skill.

The best ways to gain alchemy XP is by making potions from Enchanted Sugarcane or Enchanted Fermented Spider Eyes. Both of these items give 15,000 XP per use.

The Beginning of Alchemy

To unlock alchemy you must talk to Clotho who is found in the center of The Swamp during the Day.

Unlocking the Alchemy Table. In order to unlock the recipe for the Alchemy Table, you need to defeat the boss Clive the Firestarter. Clive has a recommended level of 28-30, so it's unwise for any player under that threshold to try and track him down from their Blood Altar.
