Where to apply?

You should apply at the Consular Section of the Polish Embassy in Bangkok.

Please note that we can only accept visa applications from nationals of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar or legal residents of those countries.

Do I have to apply in person?

The visa application form must be submitted in person. We do not accept application forms sent via fax, regular mail or e-mail.

How to book an appointment?

You can book your appointment to apply for a visa via thee-konsulatsystem, by choosing "Schengen visa - register form" from the menu on the left of the screen.If the system does not show a date you want, it means there are no slots available on that date or the Consular Section is closed. New appointments are opened every Wednesday from 10.00-10.30 a.m. local time.

If you are travelling in an organized group of 10 persons or more (tourist group, delegation etc.) and want to ensure everyone gets the same appointment date, please contact us by emailbefore registering for appointments in our system. If possible, we will try to schedule an appointment date so that all members of your group can come at the same time. Once you register for an appointment, we will not be able to change the date for you.

After you choose the appointment date and complete the online application, the system will generate a pdf of the application form with a specific time of your appointment. Please print the application form, sign it and bring with you for the appointment along with necessary supporting documents. List of required documents is available at the end of the page.

In the e-konsulat system, you can fill out theapplication form in Polish or English. If you would like to see a Thaitranslation of the form, we can provide it in the Embassy or through e-mail.

What documents do I need to submit?

  • list of documents to be submitted when applying for a visa at the Polish Embassy in Bangkok;

Please note:

  • You must apply for a visa in the consular district of your place of residence.
  • Apply for a visa ahead of time, but not earlier than six months before your planned journey.
  • The consul may, but is not obligedto, invite the applicant for an interview.
  • Persons applying for a (uniform) Schengen visa for one or two entries need to demonstrate that they posses a valid travel medical insurance with coverage for all expenses,which may arise during their stay in the territory of Member States in connection with the necessity to return due to medical reasons, urgent medical assistance, hospital treatment or death.Persons applying for a (uniform) Schengen visa for multiple entries need to demonstrate that they posses a valid travel medical insurance for the period of their first trip. The insurance must be valid in the entire territory of the EU Member States and cover the whole period of their planned stay. The min. coverage sum is 30 000 EUR.
  • Usually, the above documents are enough to receive a visa, however, the consul may require additional documents.
  • You may be banned from entering any of the Schengen States if you present forged documents or provide false information.
  • Receiving the visa does not guarantee that you will enter the Schengen area - the final decision is always made by the authorities of the country where you intend to cross the Schengen area border.

The purpose of the Visa Information System (VIS) is i.a. to exchange information between Member States regarding visa applications and related decisions. Since the system has been fully operational, an admissibility stamp is no longer placed in the travel document of the person applying for a Schengen visa.

How much does it cost?
  1. The visa fee is 3038 THB.
  2. Accepted forms of payment: cash.
  3. The visa application fee is non-returnable, whatever the consul's decision.

Schengen visa feeexemptions:

  • Children under the age of 6;
  • Researchers traveling to Poland for the purpose of carrying out scientific research, under the age of 25;
  • Spouses of European Union citizens (when requested documents are submitted);
  • Dependent children, under the age of 21, of EU citizens;
  • Dependent parents of European Union citizens;
  • Representatives of non-profit organisations aged 25 or less participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural or educational events organised by registered non-profit organisations.
What is the waiting time?

The consul will make the decision on the visa within 15 calendar days. Exceptionally, the time to make the decision can be extended up to 45 days.

The processing time might be extended for citizens of certain countries or specific categories of travelers due to mandatory visa consultation. Third countries whose nationals or specific categories of such third country nationals who are subject to prior consultation is published on the website of the European Commision.

How to collect the documents?

Collection of visa decisions does not require registration at www.e-konsulat.gov.pl. Our consular staff will inform you about the collection date during your first appointment. If you miss your collection date, you can come on any Monday orWednesday 14:00-15:00.

How to appeal?

In case of a negative decision, you will be informed in writing. The document will include the reasons for the refusal.

If you received a visa refusal, you have the right to apply for a reconsideration of the visa applicationwithin 14 days from the date when you received the refusal decision.

To apply for a reconsideration, you do not need to register for an appointment in our online system. Simply come to the Embassy on Monday orWednesday between 11:00 and 11:45and submit your documents. If you cannot come on these days or at those times, sendus an email and we will offer you an alternative date.

The consular fee for reconsideration is the same amount as for the original visa application, to be paid in cash at the Embassy.

Revocation or annulment of Schengen visa


If you have received a decision to revoke or annul your Schengen visa that you do not agree with, you have the right to ask for a reconsideration. However, if you have applied yourself for your Schengen visa to be revoked and the consul has agreed, you are not entitled to appeal.

You should apply for reconsideration within 14 days of receiving the decision to annul or revoke your Schengen visa at the consular post that issued the decision.

To apply for reconsideration, you do not need to register for an appointment in our online system. Simply come to the Embassy on Monday or Wednesday between 11:00 to 11:45.

If you apply for reconsideration after your Schengen visa was revoked or annulled, you do not have to pay the consular fee.

Complaint about refusal to issue Schengen visa, decision to revoke or annul Schengen visa and the consul's activities in this respect.


If the consul who examines your reconsideration request, issues a new decision to refuse, annul or revoke your visa, which you do not agree with, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Provincial Administrative Court in Warsaw. The complaint should be forwarded through the consul who made the decision, within 30 days of receiving the decision taken as a result of the re-examination .

You do not pay a consular fee for submitting a complaint to the consul, but you have to pay fees for proceedings before administrative courts. Therefore, you have to note that the court will ask you to pay the court fee.
